>Do they think they are going to retire in their 30's
That is the plan, yes.
- tyingq 9y agoHeh, appreciate the honesty. I guess there is a temporary market condition where that might seem realistic to some.
- 52-6F-62 9y agoAh, shame. 30's here. Hint: no retiring yet. In fact, not sure why you'd want to, but for escaping the daily grind for someone else. The well is endless. Drink deep. Also not sure why its worth selling some of the best, most energetic years of one's life to something one cares so little about that one wants to enter into it on an escape trajectory.
- badpun 9y ago> In fact, not sure why you'd want to, but for escaping the daily grind for someone else. ... isn't this exactly the point of retirement?
- 52-6F-62 9y agoNo. Retirement implies the intent to no longer participate in an activity professionally, competitively, or as a contributor. It means ceasing one's work. Working for oneself or for something one believes in to any extent might not be the same grind, but also wouldn't be retirement.
- maxxxxx 9y agoI think it's a good plan but I hope you know that most people won't achieve this.
- TACIXAT 9y agoI do realize that. I recognize I'm in a very fortunate position and am taking advantage of it.
