The media loves this and pushes the matter as much as possible as it translates directly into clicks (and therefore revenue). Remember the outrage about Apple slowing down iPhones and iPads? Or the outrage about Apple's and Google's tax avoidance schemes? My bet is nobody's going to talk about this incident 6 months from now and FB's stock price will have more than recovered.
