It's very disingenuous to release this video. This is not the picture the car saw nor the human. That coupled with the fact that no radar or lidar data was released makes me wonder why the police seem to be bending over backwards to absolve Uber.
- cozzyd 9y agoPolice are nearly always primarily motorists and therefore biased to the motorist perspective.

- abraae 9y agoPolice are also nearly always pedestrians, so what?
- galdosdi 9y agoBaloney. In most USA cities the vast majority of police officers on patrol are in radio motor patrol cars, not footposts. Are you even from the USA? Or is there a city that is an exception? Or are you repeating the trite idea that all motorists are also pedestrians because they have to walk a few feet in a parking lot or driveway at the start and end of their trip? That is ridiculous if so -- travelling a few feet in a parking lot, a place designed to be safe for pedestrians, is very different from having no choice but to walk miles of dangerous high speed roads like the one in question today because it's the only way to get home
- pishpash 9y agoThe police sure seems eager to be on someone's side.
- xvf22 9y agoYup, and I look forward to the NTSB report. Let the facts speak for themselves.
