It isn't obvious from the video if the human driver would have had time to react, but they certainly did not help their chances by being unalert. What is the point of having a human driver if they are not going to be watching the road or able to react. If they aren't a passenger, are they merely there to get around regulation that requires a human in test autonomous driving vehicles?
