This is a good comment to be used as an example. A personal attack does not make for a good discussion, and it should never be used as a fallback for a weak argument. I assume you knew your comment was provocative before you posted it. You could have mentioned how Redmond, or King county as a whole, is primarily "liberal" on the scale of opinions, but you didn't. On top of that, you made no effort to get to the point on how political opinion plays a role. If you did want to write about the role of national politics on the perceived "tech monoculture" then I would be more interested.
