16 points in 12 minutes? Weird. Never seen something like this for a Tell HN post (particularly on a slow Saturday). BTW cool idea. Good luck!

- n9986 16y agoThanks. I guess the post just got lucky :D Edit: I have no idea why this got locked up: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1663112 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1663112 Some friends of mine actually created a new account so they could comment. I really don't think I'll opt for a negative publicity by trying to make fake accounts and _then_ promote my business. If you do suspect I have been doing it go take a look at the IP addresses if you like. I don't know how else to prove it. In fact I do have two accounts on HN (n9986 and 9circuits), I didn't even use that to up vote. This post was honestly viral as it got re tweeted by friends and their friends. My aim to get some positive feedback ended up with this. Anyhow, doesn't matter now that this has been down voted to oblivion.

- niyazpk 16y agoNo. That's because you guys are voting it up from a few newly created accounts. I am sorry, but that is not how we do stuff here.
- w1ntermute 16y agoShouldn't the algorithm take that into account?
- niyazpk 16y agoI think the problem is that just a few (3-4?) votes in the first few minutes can get a submission to the front page.
