The electronic residence permit is legally not an ID card (even though it looks like one) and they are not allowed to use that as identification as required by banking laws.
- avh02 9y agoI suspected something like this, I'm new here so wasn't definite on that one - in other countries residence cards are (for day to day except at the border) more or less ID proper.
