Why wouldn't you? When you deal on the large scale (running countries) you should be utilitarian.
if excessive caution causes more death and more suffering, why would you be for that?
- Karrot_Kream 9y agoFor the same reason humanity has largely left eugenics behind and why so many countries overthrew colonial yokes and despots to form representative government. For that matter, how confident are you that you truly understand the secondary and tertiary consequences of your choice enough to make a utilitarian choice?
