Maybe, but it may make it substantially more accessible and easier for the average developer that isn't a domain expert in a dozen areas of graphics rendering technology and doesn't want to use a pre-built engine.
- bhouston 9y agoThis will make it easier to port existing shaders from high end VFX to real-time, like RenderMan and OSL shaders for sure. Trivial even.
