How is it in any way better than this?
> Why is Kitty Hawk's flying taxi taking off in New Zealand instead of California?
- samb1729 9y agoI currently see this title: > Why Is Kitty Hawk's Flying Taxi Taking Off in New Zealand Instead of California? What was it before?
- rplnt 9y agoThat's what I saw. The unnecessary capitalization is what I'm talking about. To be fair, this is far from the worst case. There are titles where it doesn't make a difference, some are so-so, and some are really bad. But I'm fairly certain there is no case where it makes it better (easier to read).
- dingo_bat 9y agoI think they are complaining about the capitalization.
- rplnt 9y agoYes, there's a name (Kitty Hawk) comprised of common words (Kitty, Hawk). If you don't know the name, you can't pick it out because every word is capitalized. It's stupid design.
- pc86 9y agoIn what possible way does capitalization make something "incomprehensible?" You know what actually makes your original point incomprehensible? Needless hyperbole.
- rplnt 9y agoI explained that down in this thread somewhere. Most importantly, the capitalization has absolutely no benefit and way too many drawbacks. Not a single reply in this thread addressed the issue at point. People are just defensive, because that's what they are used to, and don't like it being called stupid (even though no one can say it isn't). PS: It's not the hyperbole that is being downvoted either. People are touchy every time I bring this up.
- mbrameld 9y agoIt sounds like you want the language to change to match your ability. I would suggest the opposite approach: improve your mastery of the language. It requires more personal responsibility but is an attainable goal that will leave you less frustrated.
