- dmoy 9y agoStart by diversifying into international investments, like at least 40% or so.
- stevenwoo 9y agoDo you have a recommendation - I looked into something like VTI versus VT and they both have the same top ten holdings and track within about 1% over the past ten years, which on the other hand may be more similar for a multitude of reasons over that time period that may or may not hold true into the future.
- dmoy 9y agoFor me personally I just hold VTIAX. May not be the best because as I understand it, it's a large cap only deal. Also obligatory, IANACFP, so many grains of salt.
- matte_black 9y agoSeems like you have exposure to trade war risk in the short term though.
- kllvql 9y agoI'm no expert, but Wealthfront currently uses VEA for foreign stocks and VWO for emerging markets. https://support.wealthfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/210999343-What-ETFs-does-Wealthfront-use-to-implement-tax-loss-harvesting- https://support.wealthfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/210999343-...
- oska 9y agoOne hedge is bitcoin. Which might explain its relative popularity in Japan.
