I never found this to be true in my high school. The people with the best grades were normal, socially adjusted people, playing sports and participating in clubs.
The geeks were always B/C students.
- mixmastamyk 9y agoIndeed, no one bothered me when I did well. Perhaps because I kept a low profile and wasn’t annoying about it.
- qiqing 9y agoGlad that you two had a good experience growing up, and that in addition to not being bullied for being academically inclined you also didn't get bullied for being a different race. I really hope all children can be so lucky.
- mixmastamyk 9y agoI did get bullied at times, but it had nothing to do with academics but rather being smaller than kids several years older while walking to school.
