Replacing everything every 2-3 years is the "normal" mindset for young people (< 20 years old). As a "grown-up", I expect stuff to wear out if I use it a lot, but to last long if I take care of it. My expectations are higher when it is expensive. I still have a palm III XE and I use it (twice a year).
- coldtea 9y agoI'm not sure is a young people vs grown ups thing. There are gadget lovers who get the latest at all ages, and tons of them are at the 'dad' age (30-40+), not younger.
- reacweb 9y agoPerception of time varies a lot with age. When you are 10 years old, 2 years is enormous. When you are 40, it is yesterday.
