8 years ago. I had a 1 year old son. Just married. Wanted to be my own man, run my own company, do my own thing. I wanted my son to see me as a man who goes after his dreams. So, I just did it. Took on some consulting work, and then spread the word of what I could do. Gets better every year. Not so much consulting now, more residual income from software and hosted services, and android game development, but it's a living and a lifestyle.
