I've been working, unsuccessfully, on accounting software for small businesses for like 8+ years now. I am surprised they got so much funding to come into the space. Good luck to them. It's a great space to build software for because people rely on it and they are willing to pay for it. I wish I had that kind of funding to continue doing it.

- vinhboy 9y agoHad some customers. But never got that hockey-stick growth all VCs want. And you're always competing with the big boys, Quickbooks, Netsuite, etc... It's a constant arms race to add more features, more integrations, etc... A lot of customer support because your customers rely on you to run their business. I enjoyed it, but it's a tough nut to crack.
