This is incorrect. Every one of these I've heard of (all the big ones) and probably the rest don't exist because Android development is so terrible, they exist mostly to facilitate one codebase for both iOS and Android, or to allow the use of a different language.
I mean, that's incredibly obvious, so I don't know why he's got this here.
