I'm beginning to think that the use of the term "virtue signaling" is itself a form of virtue signaling.
- eeZah7Ux 9y agoIndeed, people seem to use "virtue signaling" to easily dismiss someone behavior while sounding smart. It's a conversation killer.
- smileysteve 9y agoIt could also be said that it is introspective. -- are we just adding this so that people will attend, we won't be protested, am I just agreeing to this so that I can attend -- or do we actually believe in it. To emphasize the rest of my post and my anecdotes; we have to post a sign that says we expect people to be professionals, yet conference attendees continue to lack maturity.
