I'd imagine that most marketing agencies are run by folks my age who came up through the ranks while the millennials were in their formative years and they grew up being brainwashed by the hippies who took over the education system after their revolution failed. Growing up though, it was perfectly acceptable to be a slacker with plenty of role models on TV and in the movies.
