One question I would definitely ask is: why native? Would your app be just as well-received if it was a PWA? Do you actually need any specific native functionality? If not, then there are some definite benefits of trying the PWA route, especially if you're good with JavaScript in the browser. We built our app (https://usebx.com https://usebx.com) as a PWA and have never regretted it. No frameworks, no gimmicks. Plain old vanilla JavaScript, and it's the same code base running on Safari, chrome, desktop, tablet, mobile, whatever.
