Ubuntu Mate,
Ubuntu Gnome,
Kubuntu,
Xubuntu,
Ubuntu Kylin,
Ubuntu Budgie,
Ubuntu Studio.
All share the same software repositories, and are collections of similar or related software packaged together - mostly based on desktop environment
Ubuntu and Ubuntu Gnome both use Gnome
Ubuntu Mate - Mate desktop environment,
Kubuntu - KDE,
Xubuntu - XFCE,
Ubuntu Budgie - Budgie desktop,
Bionic Beaver is the code name for 18.04 LTS. The confusion stems from Budgie also being named after an animal.
