- pas 9y agoUbuntu Budgie is a community developed distribution, integrating the Budgie Desktop Environment with Ubuntu at its core.
- okket 9y agoFrom a marketing perspective it sounds a bit like an Ubuntu product or version, like "Debian Wheezy". Confusing name choice IMHO.
- Tsiklon 9y agoThis is one of the official Ubuntu Flavours: Ubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, Ubuntu Gnome, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Studio. All share the same software repositories, and are collections of similar or related software packaged together - mostly based on desktop environment Ubuntu and Ubuntu Gnome both use Gnome Ubuntu Mate - Mate desktop environment, Kubuntu - KDE, Xubuntu - XFCE, Ubuntu Budgie - Budgie desktop, Bionic Beaver is the code name for 18.04 LTS. The confusion stems from Budgie also being named after an animal.
