Video is usually a huge waste of time, period. The typical reader can take in information something like five times faster that a skilled speaker can talk.
- jsjohnst 9y agoI feel the same way about podcasts.
- ufo 9y agoThe good thing about podcasts is that they can still be consumed while your hands or eyes are busy, when reading wouldn't be an option.
- jsjohnst 9y agoI realize some folks are able to focus on work while listening to a podcast, but sadly I’m not one of them. Anything auditory which I need to actively listen to breaks my ability to work (conversely, an IM doesn’t do that, just someone talking). About the only time a podcast would work but reading wouldn’t is while driving, and thankfully I do that rarely.
