I really hope Tesla manages to pull it together because competition is good for everyone, but the quality bar they have to meet has gotten pretty high. My Civic is still holding up exceptionally well in regards to materials and fit and finish at 12 years old. The only rattles come from the fact that I installed 3rd party speakers the car was not meant to handle. I expect Tesla to be at least as well built as an econobox from the mid 2000s
