- smkelly 9y agoWe encountered this the other week. I didn't realize this was even a thing up until I saw it happen. It is sort of mind-boggling that they allow this. It was confusing to troubleshoot.

- arbie 9y agoI didn't know this was possible. How does it work with SSO authentication? I suppose enterprises can force display names?
- arbie 9y agoTo answer myself, yes, SSO plans can enforce display name uniqueness.

- gboudrias 9y agoI was already against Slack out of principle, but this is pure madness. Their justification boils down to "some people want to".
