By 'works best' I'm talking about preventing HPV infection, so giving it before one encounters HPV is pretty important.
- andyjohnson0 9y agoI agree. But it is worth noting that there are multiple types of HPV and an initial infection may be with one not targeted by the vaccine. So receiving the vaccine after that may still provide protection against subsequent infections.
