- nurettin 9y agoA year ago I tried incorporating typescript language server into vim. The experience was an unpleasant stutter. I guess some editors just aren't meant for some things.
- alexyoung 9y agoIt's got better recently. I'm using https://github.com/autozimu/LanguageClient-neovim https://github.com/autozimu/LanguageClient-neovim for work without any obvious issues, but https://github.com/natebosch/vim-lsc https://github.com/natebosch/vim-lsc is also good
- petre 9y agoNeovim can't handle my obsolete terminal library in Ubuntu LTS. I've also had issues on the iMac at work. Vim works just fine or at least it's usable.

- braderhart 9y agoNeovim is mostly still Vim, but with some built-in extensions and packaged plugins. Vim is still great if you don't mind managing a few preferred plugins yourself, and (at least on Arch) it comes packaged with some pretty sane defaults. Overall though, Vim has made huge improvements in the area.
- petee 9y agoleet programmers use vi :P
- braderhart 9y agoHaha... Wait until you've seen some wizard use Ed.
