I'm reading Infinity Born by Douglas E. Richards - it touches on many of the AGI (artificial general intelligence) concepts talked about here. The guy in the book creates an AGI, but thinks he has it contained but it evolves to the point where it gets out of it's box. Good stuff, highly recommend.
