A friend of mine moved from an apartment with parking to one without. He didn't need his car and planned on selling it as soon as possible. So he worked it out with his old landlord that he would keep paying for parking so he could store his car until he sold it. Then he kinda just ignored the whole situation. He never paid for the parking. He never went and checked on the car. After a few months of this, he finally got around to trying to sell it and luckily the car was still there.
