I deserve the downvotes: of couse you can measure whatever you like and conduct a valid analysis of the data and that's science. But given the extraordinary prominence of quackery in 20th century psychology and psychiatric medicine, including the grotesque over-application of psychiatric drugs to young people suffering from feelings that can and should be treated more traditionally, I do think it would be best to step back and completely excise the fields as they exist from what we call science, and start afresh.
