Why _is_ China so brittle when it comes to Tibet, one wonders? Is it perhaps in their hearts that they know the claim of historicity underpinning current Chinese domination of Tibet is actually flimsy? One might even consider that it approaches hypothetical and laughable claims launched in the future by the US over Cuba or the Philippines or much of Central America as historical parts of the US.
