"""the c++ programming language"""
It's a great reference but I would never recommend it to someone to learn C++. It's too big with too many boring details that you will probably never run into.
- noodle 19y agohm. i used it to learn c++. maybe thats one of the reasons i hate the language :)
- scott_s 19y agoI think it's invaluable for everyone. As your understanding of the language improves, so does your retention of ideas from the book. Stroustrup precisely lays out what he thinks are good C++ practices throughout the book; might as well expose yourself to them now.
