Been working in Singapore for 13 years now. Originally from Sweden. In my case, I already knew I needed to move there for family reasons. Before that I had already considered moving abroad but it wasn't until I knew where I wanted to go that I could start looking for real. I was browsing job boards and did get a couple of interviews. Nothing was particularly interesting though. Then on a fluke I got in touch with another European who worked for the Singapore branch of a European company, and they were looking for tech people. A few interviews later I had a job offer, and the company helped out with the legal parts. It's all worked out pretty well and I currently have no plans to leave the country.
