  IIRC the Ukraine handed all the nuclear weapons based on its territory back to Russia after the Soviet Union broke apart. The condition was that the boundaries of the Ukraine were respected by the Russians. So, today the Ukraine is nuke-less. Oh, and Crimea-less.
