If their license is still proprietary what do they mean by "opening" the code?
- ryukafalz 9y agoThey mean you can see the code. Note that they never say they're "open sourcing" it - it's not open source by the Open Source Definition. This is the license the X-Pack code is under: https://www.elastic.co/eula https://www.elastic.co/eula
- bluecanary37 9y ago15 mentions of "open source" in the blog post and 12 more in the "Opening X-Pack" page, ignoring the other mentions of "open".
