This is great news! Anyone have a recommended Vulkan intro?
- fulafel 9y agoHere's a 1192 line example that draws a colored triangle: https://github.com/SaschaWillems/Vulkan/blob/master/examples/triangle/triangle.cpp https://github.com/SaschaWillems/Vulkan/blob/master/examples...
- thealfreds 9y ago> Contrary to the other examples, this one won't make use of helper functions or initializers Wondering what the code would look like with the helpers. Is this a bit of a "recoding of the wheel" example/exercise by Sascha?
- dogma1138 9y agoHelpers and initializers aren’t necessarily platform agnostic in Vulkan same goes for non-mandatory / base extensions. Say what you want about D3D at least it follows a strict take or leave it regime.

- TomK32 9y agoProbably 20 lines.
- fulafel 9y agoYep. It almost seems like Vulkan is designed to be used through a library or framework of helper functions ;)
- ramy_d 9y agoThis is actually really well commented and instructional
- fstephany 9y agoStephanie Hurlburt has a good list: http://stephaniehurlburt.com/blog/2017/7/14/beginner-friendly-vulkan-tutorials http://stephaniehurlburt.com/blog/2017/7/14/beginner-friendl...
