"The Advertisers" doesn't mean anything. That is like saying "the tech people" or "big business" are doing evil things.

- Parcissons 9y agoAdvertiser is everyone, who stops near the door to the conference, where the guys doing this mining OP will brag about there results. Me, i would prepare for AdBlockers, that give you a cycle budget for js-script per click. After that - its freeze frame. Good bye - while (true) { whine(); mine(); dine(); new Promise(resolve => setTimeout(resolve, ms)); } Advertising- the first profession to commit Seppuku using the tools of its own trade.
- bediger4000 9y agoYour pedanticism earns you no points. There's some umbrella advocacy and lobbying groups like the "Internet Advertising Bureau" (https://www.iab.com/ https://www.iab.com/). Two minutes' googling (!!) led me to know that Google and Facebook get most of the ad revenue (http://www.businessinsider.com/online-ads-revenues-going-to-google-and-facebook-the-most-2017-4 http://www.businessinsider.com/online-ads-revenues-going-to-... https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/may/02/google-and-facebook-bring-in-one-fifth-of-global-ad-revenue https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/may/02/google-and-fac...). Here's a list of advertising miscreants I mean networks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising_network#Notable_advertising_networks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising_network#Notable_ad... This is such a well defined concept that I'm having trouble believing that even a troll would advocate a "The Advertisers doesn't mean anything" viewpoint. I might as well claim that there's no ad blocker either.
