Would never ever in a million years advocate for something like this. I think individual privacy trumps national interest practically† every time. One can test ideas by stretching them to their breaking point and following lines of reasoning even into surreal territory. † edit: Aaargh, had to give myself some wiggle room. Think I could be persuaded to drop the `practically'.
