I can come up with an equal number of cases where the “dumb stuff” doesn’t work the way I want it to.
1.) A dumb watch can’t tell me where my next meeting is being held. Am I really going to go back to balancing my laptop on my knee to check that?
2.) A dumb alarm clock can’t even play white noise that I use to go to sleep. Its display can’t be customized for when my taste in Time face changes.
