Where can one go to avoid taxation? I suppose it's theoretically possible in terra nullius places, but I don't think I could talk the wife into moving to one of them.
- wtfstatists 9y agoThe aim would be make govts scared of losing tax dollars and get more bang for buck. So switching even state would work.
- gowld 9y agoFederal taxes apply nationwide.
- charlesdm 9y agoThere are a lot of high QOL countries with specialised tax systems that don't tax all income. However, since the US government taxes your entire income above a certain threshold globally, there's not much you can actually do to optimise taxes. Nearly all non-US citizens can move to a country that does not tax capital gains (on crypto) to avoid tax.
