Are you suggesting the au pair you hired has a voice in your decisions on how you raise your children?
- baxtr 9y agoAn au pair usually lives in your home and takes care of the children for 6-8 hours a day, for 6-12 months. Are you suggesting she shouldn’t have a voice?
- skookumchuck 9y ago> Are you suggesting she shouldn’t have a voice? Yes. The parents can choose to listen to the au pair's opinions, or not, but the decisions are made by the parents.
- pesmhey 9y agoBeing able to voice an opinion and have it be heard, although not necessarily followed, is kind of the definition of "having a voice" in this context.
- skookumchuck 9y agoBeing seated on the board was mentioned as "having a voice", and that is a powerful position.
- echaozh 9y agoYes, but the actual education is carried out by the au pair. Like it or not, if she doesn't like your decision, she may act otherwise. Execution is more important than decision.
- ericd 9y agoShe can make suggestions, but at the end of the day, the children are the parents' long-term responsibility, not the au pair's.
