  I was making the pertinent point that minimal "compensation" does not make the mass exploitation of unwitting persons ethical.

    Yeah, because Facebook's user base are unwitting "slaves" with no idea that the free software they use is provided by a for profit company that has to make money. You can disagree with Facebook's practices without being so absurd about it.
