E.g. if you smoke or have high blood pressure or you did a lot of cocaine in your 20s then it makes sense, but not if you're otherwise healthy. In the US it would trigger an automatic autopsy and investigation.
- nugget 9y agoThere is significant conviction within the South Korean Government to effectively ban cryptocurrencies for public order and national security reasons. Anyone familiar with the South Korean treatment of options trading will see a familiar story unfolding. This could have been an accidental death, and the simplest explanation is usually the right one - but no doubt is there are a lot of internal factions warring behind the scenes and there is clearly a lot of money at stake in the process - so heightened skepticism and further investigation is likely appropriate.
- josu 9y agoIt seems like organized crime got into crypto arbitrage in Korea[1]. Due to Korea's explosive interest in crypto and strong capital controls, demand would continually exceed supply, so crypto was trading at around 30% premium for the second half of 2017. With so much easy money on the table, it seems normal for organized crime to move in.
