What about for iPad apps?

  No idea. The only way to find out is to try. I do not develop for the iphone/ipad, if I did I would try it myself. I think that the app store makes it so easy to compare stuff side by side that I would expect the difference to be smaller, but that's just a gut feeling.

    Here's an example. Draft from 37signals. As soon as they launched there was noise about their pricing, after a week or so, it got quit even though sales were still going up. Not sure what they're up now with the pricing.
