Our brain is designed to prioritized comfort, there is nothing crazy about it. In a society decreasing material constraints and increasing opportunities to be in ones comfort zone, you will see it more and more. The problem is that most of the fulfilling things in life exist outside of our comfort zone. Hence we have a society full of comfortable unhappy people. It's ironic, given that the previous generations were unhappy because of the lack of comfort.
