I talked to a friend who is a part of R&D 5G team. He is completely terrified. Pointing a high energy stream of photons to peoples phones, creates a risk of signal interference resulting in burning people (yeah, lasers). I don't know much about mobile tech, but when I heard that from a person who sits in the lab doing it, my feelings about 5G are a little mixed.
