Nobody really cares? You know, we're on this forum called hackernews? You might want to pack up that opinion and take it to some place called "consumernews" or something (they might call it "productnews" these days). That is where nobody really cares. While most of the "FOSS diehards" get it just fine. People want convenience. It's not that hard to understand and you're making yourself look like a fool if that's your claim. Doesn't mean convenience is the right way forward, even if people want it or don't care. Since when is "people don't care" a viable argument for anything, the people that don't care, don't understand this.
