Unless they have been declared persona non grata by the receiving nation ( Article 9 ).
Usually the individual is given 72 hours to get out but that is not codified.
- dpark 9y agoThat’s exactly when they get on a plane and fly home. Declaring a diplomat persona non grata means they need to leave. It doesn’t mean they are suddenly subject to prosecution. If it did, then diplomatic immunity would be meaningless.
