I can see GoDaddy now rubbing their hands with glee as they ponder the prospect of selling overpriced server certificates to unaware website owners. No way they'll push a Let's Encrypt solution.
- josefresco 9y agoThis. I already have clients purchasing SSL certificates from GoDaddy due to their aggressive FUD-marketing. To make matters even worse, GD does not in any way assist in the installation, or "activated" of the SSL cert.
- LambdaComplex 9y agoI just checked GoDaddy's prices, out of curiosity. "Plans starting at $59.99/yr". For comparison, you can get a Comodo PositiveSSL cert for about $10/yr.
