Is there a good reason to require https for localhost?
- valleyer 9y agoYes: the browser is not in control of resolving "localhost" to 127.0.0.1, nor is it in control of resolving 127.0.0.1 to the loopback interface. These are details the OS is in charge of, not the browser. So the browser can't know that http://localhost/ http://localhost/ is "secure".
