Calling B.S. on his story that his fiance stole all the cash that he exchanged the gold for.
Also, how come he wasn't arrested? The story starts with "he was in jail and now out". How? The crime happened in 2016 and it's less than 2 years later now.
- jgh 9y agoThey said he got 1 year because he had no criminal past in Ecuador.
- passivepinetree 9y agoDid you read the article? He was arrested in Ecuador, sentenced to a year in prison, and was out after 9 months for good behavior. There's no extradition treaty between Ecuador and the U.S., so he wasn't sent back to the United States (where he had a criminal record and the sentence which would have been much higher).
